Our School Development Plan
Welcome to Our School Development Priorities for 2025–2026
At The Grove Junior School, we are passionate about helping every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Each year, we set clear priorities to ensure our teaching and learning continue to improve and reflect the needs of our pupils and community.
This year, our focus is on six key areas:
- Adaptive Teaching
Making sure lessons meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs, through flexible and inclusive teaching strategies. - Peer Mentoring for Staff
Supporting teachers’ professional growth and wellbeing through a structured mentoring programme. - Oracy Across the Curriculum
Helping children develop strong speaking and listening skills to improve confidence, reasoning and communication in every subject. - Maths Excellence
Strengthening planning and teaching in maths to build deep understanding, fluency and problem-solving skills. - Behaviour Curriculum
Introducing a clear, consistent approach to behaviour that promotes respect, responsibility and resilience. - Online Safety
Ensuring pupils are safe and responsible online, with training for staff and guidance for families.
We are also working on strategic priorities such as preparing for OFSTED, managing future pupil numbers, and enhancing safeguarding including responsible use of technology and AI.
Together, we can make this an exciting and successful year for every child at The Grove Junior School.
